The biggest disease today is not leprosy or tuberculosis...it is the lack of love and charity; the terrible indifference to one's neighbor.

What's missing
What's missing from life? What's missing from how we interact with each other? I'm leading a penny drive at school to help patients battling Leukemia and Lymphoma. It's one of my most favorite events at school. The students donate more out of a sense of competition to win the pizza party, rather than a sense of community service to help others...but still. I'm hoping that if we can build a habit of service now, before they understand why it's important, then when they do get it it will already seem like second nature to serve.
